Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin treatment that uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This helps improve skin texture, firmness, and overall radiance while reducing the appearance of fine lines, scars, and pigmentation.
Microneedling is effective for treating:

Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. A numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure a comfortable experience.
The Dermalogica Collagen Boost Microneedling treatment lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, including numbing time and post-treatment care.
There is minimal downtime, but you may experience redness, mild swelling, and sensitivity for 24–48 hours. Your skin may also feel slightly dry or flaky in the following days.
Some clients notice an immediate glow, but full results develop over the next 4–6 weeks as collagen production increases. For best results, a course of treatments is recommended.
This depends on your skin concerns. For general skin rejuvenation, 3–4 sessions are recommended. For scars or deeper wrinkles, 6 or more sessions may be needed, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
- It’s best to avoid makeup for 24 hours to allow your skin to heal. Mineral-based makeup may be used after the first day if necessary.
- Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 30+ daily.
- Use gentle, hydrating skincare to support healing.
- Avoid intense exercise, saunas, and swimming for 48 hours.
- Do not use active ingredients like retinol or exfoliants for 5–7 days.
Microneedling is not suitable for those with:
- Active acne or skin infections
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Certain medical conditions affecting skin healing
- Recent cosmetic treatments (such as Botox or fillers) within 2 weeks
