Does your skin feel like this?

Understanding whether your skin is dry or dehydrated is key to choosing the right skincare approach.

Dry skin is a skin type characterized by a lack of natural oils (sebum), often leading to rough, flaky, and sometimes itchy skin. On the other hand, dehydrated skin is a condition where the skin lacks water, making it feel tight, dull, and prone to fine lines.

Sensitive skin can manifest in various ways, from redness and irritation to stinging, burning, or even chronic conditions like rosacea or eczema.

Factors such as harsh skincare ingredients, environmental stressors, diet, and even stress levels can weaken the skin’s protective barrier, making it more reactive. Choosing the right serum can make all the difference—book a consultation with us to find the best option for your skin!

Other Information

Dry and sensitive skin can be caused by various factors, including genetics, harsh skincare products, cold or dry weather, excessive cleansing, and underlying skin conditions like eczema or rosacea.

You may have dry and sensitive skin if you experience:

  • Flakiness or rough texture
  • Tightness, especially after washing
  • Redness or irritation
  • Stinging or burning when using certain skincare products

Avoid harsh ingredients that can strip moisture and trigger irritation, such as:

  • Alcohol (denat.)
  • Fragrances (synthetic and essential oils)
  • Sulfates (SLS, SLES)
  • Harsh exfoliants (physical scrubs, strong acids)
  • Retinoids (unless introduced gradually and buffered)
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Use a humidifier in dry environments
  • Avoid long, hot showers
  • Wear soft fabrics (avoid wool and rough materials)
  • Use hypoallergenic laundry detergents

Use a gentle, fragrance-free, hydrating cleanser and avoid hot water. Limit washing to twice a day and pat (not rub) your skin dry with a soft towel.

1-2 times a week with a gentle chemical exfoliant (like lactic acid or PHA). Avoid physical scrubs, as they can cause micro-tears and irritation.

A rich, fragrance-free moisturizer with ceramides, shea butter, or hyaluronic acid can help lock in hydration and protect your skin barrier.

Yes! Choose a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen with mineral filters (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) to minimize irritation. Look for hydrating formulas with added skin-soothing ingredients.

Yes, but opt for:

  • Hydrating, fragrance-free foundations
  • Cream-based products instead of powders
  • Minimal ingredients to reduce irritation
