How do I clear up Teenage acne?
Following just one treatment at the clinic using High Frequency taken over the school holidays and just two weeks of using Dermalogica Clear Start, my teenage client was delighted to see her breakouts disappear and she has clear skin.
Oh my gosh, thank you, thank you, thank you for making me have skin.
On Christmas we went to my cousins for the night but I forgot the things at home so I didn’t do it that night and the morning but when I woke up my face had got very bad and was red all over (but when I got home and used it again it got better)
What me and mum found out was that when I started to use it again it got better to worse and for a couple of days I had LOADS of spots and lumps on my face (it hurt) but then near New Years Day it got better again and now it is spot free. (but still some really small ones on the top of my head) and still really soft like when we left you. My mum said that was my skin getting rid of everything.
Thank you so so so so so so so much. Going back to school on Monday, everyone noticed I was spotless and asked what happened.
Thank you again! ”
During teenage years, the aim is to manage your teenage breakouts because during this period your androgen hormones are raging and producing thicker sticker sebum which will lead to breakouts. You can keep your breakouts under control, even having spot free skin at times if the correct products are prescribed for your skin along with the correct techniques. Good advice will go a long way so visit a professional skincare therapist to find out more.
I explain to my clients what is happening to their skin during these teenage years and what the products will do to this process i.e. reduce inflammation, mop up excess oils on the skin, clear out pores with products containing salicylic acid and using botanicals, treat the skin kindly to avoid any irritation.
